[ From Baron von Mueller, stating that he had received a specimen of a thistle from the Colac Shire Council, but no letter in reference to it.

it is a native of Britain and some other European countries, but one of the least common species. As it only once flowers from the same root it can be annihilated its seeding by early cutting and then buring
