I have the honor to solicit permission from the hon. the Chief Secretary, that I may
continue the engagement of an office-Youth
from Oct 1. til Dec. 31. 1890 during four days each week at 4/ each day, as by such
arrangement much time is saved to the Officers of the bot. establishment for carrying
on their special work.

On 4 September 1890, Wilson recommended M's request to the Chief Secretary, A. Deakin,
who approved it the same day. H. Moors, for Wilson, forwarded the news to M who replied
the next day 'with best thanks'. Wilson then forwarded the file to the Commissioners
of Audit for their information.
