Under separate cover I am sending you a few small pieces of fertile frond from the
Cyathea

Search for Cyathea in

of which I wrote to you some time ago.

Letter not found, but se M to W. McGowan, June 1890 (in this edition as 90-06-00f).
There has been some difficulty in procuring fronds with fruit from the smaller specimens but the gentleman who procured them for me managed to secure them from the tall specimen by means of a rifle.
The longest piece enclosed was taken from a small specimen, but the small piece is from the large specimen, of which you have the photo, as you will see they are of the same species. I hope these will be sufficient for the purpose of indentification.
