Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 12th instant,
and in reply to acquaint you that I have instructed Captain Davis of HMS "Royalist",
Noumea, Senior Officer of Her Majesty's Ships in the New Hebrides, that he may, when
visiting the Islands near the New Hebrides, grant Mr Lindt a passage if convenient
on such occasions.
