Die Nummer 1035 Ihrer Sammlung, lieber Herr Holtze, bezieht sich auf zwei verschiedene Pflanzen. Die Frucht Exemplare gehören zu , die blühenden zu einer Art. Um letztere zu definiren, sind Blumen beider Geschlechter und dann auch Exemplare mit reifen Früchten erforderlich. Ich bin jezt inmitten Ihrer Pflanzen beschäftigt, und werde Ihnen bald gedruckte Beschreibungen mehrerer Ihrer neuesten Pflanzen senden können.

Wenn immer sich dort eine Pflanze ansiedelt, sei es aus West-Australien oder aus Indien oder sonst woher, würde es gut sein, mir sogleich ein Ex.

The number 1035

A specimen with this record number is given in AVH (accessed 2 June 2022) as (MEL 0107026); it was identified by M as in one of his lists for Holtze in which he reported on the specimens which, in M. Holtze to M, 24 April 1890, Holtze said he had sent. This letter presumably results from a later, more detailed examination than that given in M to M. Holtze, 16 May 1890 (in this edition as 89-05-16d).

To define the latter, flowers of both genders and later also specimens with ripe fruits are required. At present I am busy in the middle of your plants, and shall be able to send you printed descriptions of several of your newest plants soon.

Whenever a plant becomes introduced there, be it from Western Australia, or from India, or from somewhere else, would you be so kind to send me at once a specimen with a relevant note, lest later perchance the immigrated plant is considered to be indigenous. Is this indigenous, or has it suddenly sprung up at the landing place from West Australian packaging?
