I thank you, dear Mr Macdonald, for following up Mr Lindts proposition.
I did not like to be disobliging to him, as he is not only a member of our Society,
but also as
he
supported several of our meetings by a splendid display of photograms. The idea of
getting help from us
arose entirely with him
. I look more to the
photographic results
than any other of this exploit.
We
could only deal with him; thus I do
not
like to enter into communications with the Rev. Mr Fison. We have a good anthropologic
correspondent in the Rev. Mr M'Donald in the New Hebrides. Mr Wolff is however
not
in the pay of any Society
; he simply is a delegate of the Leipzig anthropol. Society,
which merely means that he is to interest himself, to advance abroad the interests
of that institution.
