MS is in M's hand. All species are included in 90.14.03, an account of the species found by William Tietkens on his 1889 expedition to Central Australia, and the locations mentioned in the paper are those stated here. The paragraph under Erechthites lacerate is quoted on p. 102 as from 'F. v. M' with a very minor change to the beginning of the first sentence and the omission of the last. Although the paper is said to have been read to the Royal Society of SA at its meeting on 1 April 1890, Tate is known to have altered texts for publication after the meetings at which they were read, which M expected to be the case here; see M to R. Tate, 26 April 1890, where he expected to be able to make alterations to the proof. The fragment is therefore dated to 20 May 1890.

I have no authentic specimen to compare; but you seem to have identified the plant correctly.

It seems specifically distinct from the genuine southern E. arguta. In some respects it approaches . Drummond's plant 328, referred by Bentham to that species, belongs however to S. leucoglossus This might also be mentioned in our essay.
