But as you are so conversant among the Central Austr. plants, you need really very little help from me, especially as I shall see a proofsheet of the treatise. I may have laid aside some of the plants as done , and they may have gone to the Museum, without being entered on the list. However as it is of little importance, that so imperfect a collection, of what occurs in the region, should be fully recorded, any omissions would not be of much account.
Allow me to say, that the real could not possibly be united with P. natans nor with any species allied to that widely spred

plant.
I have now from many more places, than those mentioned in the Flora Austral.,

but from nowhere beyond the coast-region. I feel sure, the central Austr plant is not the genuine species.
Your = . In the Linnaea 1852 I alluded already to the resemblance of Senec. odoratus.
