partly to work for the Melb meeting of the Austral Association.

The second Congress of the Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science was held in Melbourne in January 1890. M was President.
Thus, among other sendings also your Angophora was laid aside, and comes now only before me again in the endeavour, to clear off arrear-work. If you were not so positive about declaring it different from A. intermedia, I should have taken it as a var . of that species. Could it be a hybrid between A. intermedia & A subvelutina? We have to be very guarded in establishing new species in cases like these.
With regardful remembrance your
Ferd von Mueller
Kindly try, to find, if even in leaves only, among and other submerged plants.
