My dear Baron
I am very desirous of obtaining a copy of your "Eucalyptographia"
as you know I have been working at Aust. Botany for many years, as I cannot afford
to purchase the work, I send you five copies of my "Tabular List of Australian Birds"
which will be of use to Public Libraries in Victoria hoping that you will be able
to send me a copy, or recommend the Government to do so, (of the Eucalyptographia)

In accordance with your wishes I am preparing a list of the Victorian Birds, showing

on the receipt of your letter
I have been unable to finish, on account of great pressure of Museum work here.
