Sir,
I have the honor to solicit, that you will be pleased to grant your permission for
retaining the services of two lads, engaged during the current quarter for four days
a week at a remuneration of 3/ and 4/ respectively per diem, for a further period
of three months.
I found them most useful for rendering assistance in the Office and in the Botanic
Museum; their wages will as heretofore be paid out of my vote for Contingencies.

best thanks'. The information was then forwarded to the Commissioners of Audit for
their information.
