Letter marked: 'Mr Macdonald The Engineer in Chief has decided that this timber may be used for the same class of work as E. Globulus (bluegum) CEN [i.e. C. E. Norman] 2/12/89', and 'To Inspector Aydon. Please note the Govt. Botanists remarks and take all necessary precautions that inferior timber is not mixed with the E. Goniocalyx J.McD 4/12/89'. The latter note was acknowledged by Frederick Aydon on the same day, and the file was returned to Norman by McDonald on 6 December.
