DEPARTMENT OF MINES
VICTORIA
15/11/89
Dear Baron
When I saw you about ten days ago I left with you some fossil fruit from Beaufort
1
Vic.
which you kindly said you would examine and name.
The finder of the fruits is desirous of being informed as to them. May I therefore trouble you with a request that at your leisure you will send me a line for him. He also asks that the fruit may be returned to him.
The samples are contained in a little green cardboard box, wrapped in cotton wool.
I am dear Baron
Yours faithfully
A. W. Howitt
