This undated note is almost certainly a request in connection with M's planning to prepare an addendum to B89.12.03 (see M to R. Tate, 30 September 1889 (in this edition as 89-09-30b), and M to R. Tate, 5 October 1889); M was anxious to see a final list of Tietkens's plants from his expedition, March-July 1889, from Alice Springs (NT) towards the WA border. The note is therefore dated to early-to-mid-November 1889 as the last possible date that such a list would have been useful for an addendum to the volume that was completed by 9 December 1889, when an 'advance copy' was available at a meeting of the Field Naturalists' Club of Victoria (Victorian naturalist, vol. 6, p. 137).
In the event, no such addendum was included in B89.12.03. Tate did not publish a list at this time, but he and M later jointly published a list of Tietkens's plants with descriptions of new species appended (B90.14.03, read 1 April 1890). Species designated in this as 'additional records to the Flora of Extra-tropical South Australia' are not so shown in B89.12.03.
Could you kindly mark on some final print the new entries to be made from the Tietkens collection for the census, W.A. & S.A., as the case may be.
