Würden Sie mich verpflichten, lieber Herr Professor, durch Belehrung, wie der Name Wurmb oder Wurms geschrieben werden sollte, nach Van W-, dem holländischen Kaufmann, welchem Thunberg ein Genus der südafrikanischen Liliaceen widmete.

Die beigefügten Samen sind von einer der prächtigsten Arten Australiens mit rothen Blumen.

Would you oblige me, dear Professor, by an explanation how the name Wurmb or Wurms should be written after Van W-, the Dutch merchant, to whom Thunberg dedicated a genus of South African Liliaceae.

Wurmbea, erected in Thunberg (1781), p. 18, in honour of 'Fr. v. Wurmbs'; IPNI gives the name as Friedrich von Wurmb.

The enclosed seeds are from one of the most magnificent species of Australia with red blossoms.
