The proof of the plant-Census of 1889
is now revised to the end of Liliaceae, dear Prof. Tate, so that by the
beginning
of
Nov
. the whole will be through the press. The addenda, which have been made, since the
printing commenced, must — of course — be put in before the index.
So I would like to ask, whether you received Mr Tietkens' plants, and if so, whether
you found any new for S.A. or new for science among them.
If so, will you kindly give me your notes on them and send corresponding specimens?
The Glumaceae and ferns will be in type probably within a week; so I like to have
any additional material within that time.

In the event, B89.12.03 did not include addenda.

Tietkens had led an exploring expedition in March-July 1889 from Alice Springs, NT,
towards the WA border. Tate and M published a list of his plants as B90.14.03.
Regardfully
your
Ferd. von Mueller.
Please, do not take public notice of the print of my address, as the publication of
the R.G.S.A., pertaining to it, has not yet appeared.
How far is the printing of your Flora
progressed? Perhaps you can place it as ready before the Melbourne-meeting of the
Australian Association.

B89.10.01; M had evidently sent proof sheets or a pre-print to Tate, probably with this letter.
