My dear Baron,

In order that there might be no mistake about the specimen of E. Gunnii sent to you for determination, I have got fresh specimens from Branxholme

Vic.

with the fruits specially taken from the same tree.

In the "Eucalyptographia"

B79.13.11, Decade 4.

there is no suggestion of resemblance to E. rostrata, & it will be interesting to know on your authority that there may be such a resemblance.

The specimens need not be returned, as I simply wanted to know in connection with the leaf-sectioning that this was truly Gunnii.
