Würden Sie freundlich sein mir mitzutheilen, lieber Herr Professor, ob in Linné's materia medica schon die binare Benennung vorkommt, u welche Namen dann für Australien aus dieser Priorität citirt werden müssten. Die neue Ausgabe des Census of Australian plants ist im Druck.

Would you kindly inform me, dear Professor, whether binomial nomenclature is found already in Linné's materia medica,

Linnaeus (1749) does not include binomials; the copy at the Linnean Society of London is annotated by Linnaeus with specific epithets used in binomial names. The revised edition edited by Schreber (Linné (1773)) includes binomials.

and what names would then have to be cited for Australia from this priority. The new edition of the Census of Australian plants is in press.
