MS annotation: 'From Baron Von Mueller'.
I am greatly beholden to you, dear Mr Turner for sending me the notes on utilitarian
plants, hardy at Sydney and at Brisbane. These data are as valuable to me as Mr Edgar's
from Rockhampton. They shall be utilized under your honored name for the 8th Edition
of the "Select plants",
which edition — I trust — will appear by the end of 1890. If therefore at any time
you should think of any other plants, concerning which remarks should be given in
the next edition, then kindly let me have your further information

J. S. Edgar.

B91.09.01 has several references to information from Turner, including in entries
where he had not been cited in the previous edition, for example Albizzia dulcis.
Your notes, accompanied by the woodcuts, are also very interesting. I presume, that
some booksellers in Sydney have the "Select plants" for sale. As the book is so very
cheap, it should find purchasers to a wide extent.
With regardful remembrance
your Ferd. von Mueller
