My Dear Baron,
I have been here with an invalid wife, and I am very sorry to be obliged to leave without seeing you, who have done so much for botany, scientific and popular. We go on board the Oceana at Williamstown to morrow evening and sail for Ceylon at 1 o'clock on Friday.
I send for your acceptance a couple of books published at my Office — that of the Ceylon Observer.
With all good wishes,
Yours Sincerely,
A M Ferguson.
