T. R. Wilson Esqr,
Undersecretary.
Sir
I have the honor to solicit, that the following supplies may be granted.
The two fascicles of the Education Collection of Austral plants.
1
Three fascicles had been issued, but when the remaining sets were returned to M there
was only one set that included fascicle 3; see M to Alfred Deakin, 12 February 1889 (in this edition as 89-02-12a). It is probable that the complete set was supplied to the Maryborough School of Mines and Industries in February; see M to Thomas Wilson, 23 February 1889 (in this edition as 89-02-23a).
Harvard-University of Cambridge (Massachus.)
Herbier du jardin des plants, Paris.
Herr Bahse, Commissioner for Saxony at the Centennial Exhibition, who yesterday on
his own accord asked for an Australian herbarium for a particular public School in
Leipzig
School of Mines, Maryborough.
After the few sets, available still, are exhausted, the further supply could be provided
for by forming a fourth and fifth fascicle.
2
M's request was approved by the Chief Secretary, A. Deakin, on 22 March 1889 and the file was transferred to the Premier's office, the Secretary of which returned it on 2 April saying that the Premier had 'approved of the desired presentations being made'. H. Moors, for Wilson, forwarded the information to M on 4 April and he
returned the file the next day 'with best thanks'.
I have the honor to be,
Sir, your obed. servant

Gov. Botanist
