Letter not found; item is a register entry only, entered on 15 March 1889, of a letter apparently sent to Deakin by Pfaff Pinschoff & Co. This letter was referred to M on 16 March 1889 minuted: 'For report'. It was returned by him to the Chief Secretary on 18 March and referred to the Premier’s Department on 19 March minuted: 'Govt Botanist's report herewith'. It was returned to the Chief Secretary on 26 March minuted: 'No objectn so long as they are not in exhibit from Govt.' It was returned to the Premier on 28 March 1889.
