No Williamson specimen from Trentham or Daylesford has been found in MEL (AVH, accessed 10 May 2023). Williamson moved to Hawkesdale sometime between 1886 and 1889, and apparently remained there during the rest of M's lifetime. Dated specimens at MEL for 1887 are given as New South Wales, but these may not have been sent to M as Williamson's extensive herbarium was deposited at his death in 1931 (Age (Melbourne), 18 February 1931, p. 6). The letter is dated to 1889 as the earliest known year that Williamson was living in Hawkesdale, Vic.
