(herewith returned) and supporting the request of that gentlemen to be furnished with a copy of the "Eucalyptographia" and of the "Iconography of Acacias", I beg to inform you that the Premier has approved of the presentation, and Mr Fawcett has been advised accordingly.

M had sent enough seed of Eucalyptus leucoxylon and E. tereticornis to stock the island but it failed to germinate (W. Fawcett to D. Morris, 26 September 1887 and 17 October 1887, RBG Kew, Directors' correspondence, vol. 201, f. 147, ff. 152-3 respectively).
