This day, dear Mr. Wilson, I received a few early stitched impressions of Key I;

B88.11.02.
so I beg to send one to our honorable Chief, to whom it is dedicated, through you.

MS annotation by A. Deakin dated 15 November 1888: 'Please acknowledge with many thanks'.
By an oversight a small map of Victoria has not been glued in, which of course will be done in the bulk of the copies.
The "Select plants,” 7th Edition,

B88.12.01.
are completely printed, indeed a few weeks ago they were finished; but the binding is not yet done, but I trust to forward copies next week.
Regardfully your
Ferd von Mueller
I hoped to have seen you and your kind Lady at the Gov. Ball, but felt so fatigued that evening, as to be unable to muster the strength for going. In a few weeks I shall be a little freer, and must then have the pleasure of seeing you all at your new home.
Pray thank Mr. Deakin and through him Mr. Gillies for kindly granting us the geographic vote.
