a gentleman attached to the study of Natural History, especially Botany & Geology being desirous of becoming a Fellow of the LINNEAN SOCIETY OF LONDON, we, whose names are underwritten, beg leave to recommend him to that honour.

This certificate was read at a General Meeting of the Society, on the 1st day of Novbr. 1888.

To have been read at the Society in November, the form must have been sent no later than September 1887, and it is numbered accordingly, although it was possible that it was sent earlier and arrived during the summer recess, i.e., after 21 June.

The Ballot will take place on the 6th day of Decbr., 1888
