I feel sure, dear Mr Deane, that yet other species of Potamogeton can be found in N.S.W., for instance: P. pectinatus in brackish ground. Small dried portions with flowers and particularly with ripe fruit would quite suffice for examination.
Oceanic Monocotyledoneae seem to have never yet been methodically searched for anywhere on your coast, not even by R Brown, who was overwhelmed by the then novel objects at his time.
