Letter not found. The text given here is from Gartenflora, vol. 37 (1888), p. 295. The issue in which it appeared is probably the first of
two issues for June, although the unusual publication pattern, with one issue of 48
pages and two of 56 pages included in the 22 issues for the year, makes this a little
uncertain. The probable last date of sending the letter is April.
[Just as remembrance ceremonies in honour of the late Kaiser Wilhelm
in the remotest regions bore a magnificent character, so do the reports sent us by
Mr Ferd. von Müller, Melbourne.
He also sent a large, well-executed lithograph, excellently rendering the face of
the Kaiser Wilhelm in life size.
