Dear Baron
At last after a lot of correspondence I have been able to secure you a few more specimens
of the plant which I found growing in the boggy ground adjoining a Soda Spring on
Kallara Station Darling River. I would like to have got them in a green state but
trust they will serve your purpose. The manager
who kindly sent me the specimens was astonished himself that he had not noticed it
before.

David Brown; see D. Carson to M, September 1887 (in this edition as 87-09-00a). Brown sent additional specimens; see D. Brown to M, 19 September 1889.
Trusting that the specimens will suit you
I am Dear Baron
Yours faithfully
Duncan Carson
