The report received in reply was to the effect that the grass has no English name, as it does not occur in the old country. It is purely a native Australian grass, and one of the best. It [is]

nutritive and palatable to pasture animals, and is a good drought resister. It grows on light sandy soil with a clayey bottom, and is spreading in the neighborhood of Boyeo.

The comment about the spreading of the grass is likely to be by the author of the note rather than by M.
