I am sorry to hear dear Mr Macdonald, that you are suffering from sciatic pain; it
is a great trouble, but I trust it will soon pass off.
Best thanks for the cheque of £8. I will see Mr Sayer about this account of his, I
did not know it was so much when he returns from East Gippsland.
The Honorable John Forrest arrived from Tasmania a little before
midnight
on Tuesday,
and I went to the wharf to receive him. He will be less than a week here. Would

be convenient to you, to have a Council-meeting? I could then let him know timely,
so that he may be free at that particular hour.
