The MS is a hand-written facsimile of the Society’s then current form, by A. C. Macdonald:
purple ink for the parts of the certificate normally printed, black for the parts
normally entered by hand on the printed form, except A C Macdonald’s signature, which
is in purple ink. M has signed, and added the address and date, in black ink.
Nomination forms had been requested from London, see C. Pasco to M, 15 September 1887
