Your letter, dear Mr Barnard,
I handed to Mr Macdonald last evening, so that he may bring before the next Council
meeting of the geographic Society
the proposition made by the Club. The Council will very soon come together. Individually
I will give the proposition my best support, that large reserves should be made at
the Promontory;
but I would advise, that the Club also press for extensive reservations in the Waratah-Country
of East Gippsland,
"the Australian Switzerland" just opened up.
