In view of Supply being asked for at an early date I have the honor to request that you will inform me, as soon as possible, what sums you will require for expenditure during the undermentioned periods viz.

July & August
July, August & September
I beg to point out that, whether Supply be taken for one, two or three months, provision will require to be made to recoup the Treasury the amount of the Advance paid to you in 1886/7 on account of the current financial year.
