and as you have the Rev Gentleman' collections at Kew, it seemed to me unnecessary, to forward one of the few specimens to Kew also.

A report of a specimen M sent to Maxwell Masters appeared in the Gardeners'chronicle, 26 February 1887, pp. 288-9, and included an illustration by 'W.G.S'(W. G. Smith).
However as you wish to possess this fung from the new locality likewise, I send you the best of three specimens left
