Wieder bin ich Ihnen dankbar verpflichtet, edler Freund, für die Namens Liste mehrerer kleiner Sendungen. Am 15 Nov. 1886 schickte ich durch die Post eine bedeutende Menge Algen ab, die mir kurz zuvor der prächtige Bracebr Wilson für Sie übersandte. Bei mir bleibt nichts liegen; Alles geht ab mit erster Post.
Ich mache weitere Versuche, Exemplare von Claudea Bennettiana in Frucht zu erlangen. Es soll mich innig freuen, wenn wir damit unserm unvergesslichen Freunde Sonder in der Algen Flora Australiens ein Ehren-Denkmal setzen können.
Für mehrere Druckschriften, namentlich Ihre letzte grosse Abhandlung, bin ich Ihnen vielleicht noch den Ausspruch meines Dankes schuldig. Ich freue mich, dass Sie auch gütig die Erwerbsquellen des Materials genannt, was ja meinem Departement zu Gute kommt.
Wir arbeiten hier an Vorbereitungen zu einer antarct. Exped., was namentlich Hr. Baron Nordenskiold interessiren mag. Mein Antrag, dass Ballons zum Recognosciren benutzt werden sollen, ist angenommen. Hierbei mein Photogram für freundliche Entgegennahme. Haben Sie es schon, so bitte ich es einem andern Gelehrten zu geben.

I am pleased that you also kindly named the sources of the material which is indeed of advantage to my department .
We are working here on preparations for an Antarctic expedition that may interest Baron Nordenskiold especially. My proposal that balloons should be used for reconnaissance is accepted. Enclosed my photograph for kindly acceptance. If you already have it, I ask that you give it to another savant.
