Letter not found. The text given here is from ' F. v. M. in Blüte' [Eucalyptus ficifilia F. v. M. in bloom], Gartenflora , vol. 40 (1891), p. 337, in the first of two issues for June. M's letter is dated to 1887 on the basis that the plant was three years old when it flowered in 1890, and the assumption that the seeds were sown when received.
