Letter not found. The text given here is from Bennett (1887), p. 177. The text quoted is from the entries for Potamogeton plantagineus and P. javanicus respectively; the plants may have been sent in different consignments. Bennett also saw specimens of Potamogeton sent by M to Kew, and acknowledged also receiving specimens from F. M. Bailey and J. G. O. Tepper. The item is dated to early 1887 as the latest it could have been sent in time for Bennett to prepare his paper and have it published in the June 1887 issue of the journal.
