Die eine der Caladenia-Arten, welche Sie senden, lieber Herr Tepper, giebt jedenfalls für Südaustralien eine neue Art, aber das genaue Verhältniss zu C. Cairnsiana kann nach 2 Ex. kritisch nicht ermittelt werden; dazu bedarf es einer Reihe Exemplare, da ja — wie Sie selbst wissen, die Charactere der Caladenia-Arten so wandelbar sind. Vielleicht haben Sie etwas mehr Material abzulassen, oder Ihre Freunde.
Die andere Art schliesst sich ganz nahe an C. latifolia an; auch davon möchte ich mehr sehen. Ich lasse also die Stellung dieser Pflanzen (als Arten oder als Varietäten) einstweilen eine offne Frage.

One of the Caladenia species that you sent, dear Mr Tepper, is a new species at any rate for South Australia , but the exact relationship to C. cairnsiana cannot be critically ascertained from two specimens; for this it needs a series of mature specimens, since indeed — as you know yourself, the characters of the Caladenia species are so changeable. Perhaps you have some more material to give, or your friends.
The other species conforms quite closely to C. latifolia; I also would like to see more of it. Therefore in the meantime I leave the position of this plant (as species or as variety) an open question.
