May I ask, honored and dear Sir, that a copy of Mr Skene's new Exploration-map of Australia

Continental Australia from the most recent information & materials supplied by the Survey Departments of the several colonies. The first edition appeared in 1879. There were four later editions, issued in 1880 [there is a copy of the 1880 edition in the National Library of Australia [ https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-231634483/view ], 1886 and 1888. There is a copy of the first edition in the library of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, which may be the copy supplied, but no copy of the 1886 edition he was seeking, which was published in October 1886.

be granted to me, in support of which solicitation I may say, that Mr Skene was supplied by me with Petermann's great chart, when the first large map came out.
