Saturday
I think it best right, dear Mr Wilson, that I should take officially notice of the
remarks, made against the "Key" by a Correspondent of the Argus of this day;
and I should be very much obliged if you would beg of our honorable Chief, that this
explanation of mine
may be allowed to go to the Argus for publication. I may remark, that a very appreciative
reference to this part of the Key appeared in the London Gardeners Chronicle lately.

Gardeners' Chronicle, 12 June 1886, p. 760: 'This little book, while unpretending in appearance, will
prove one of the most generally useful of the Baron's publications, and one that no
one but himself could have produced so successfully'.
With regardful remembrance
