Though I may not write, dear Prof. Hilgard, you may be sure, that your kind sendings
of your important Bulletins
are highly appreciated, as they are replete with matters of importance and interest
always.
1
Bulletin, Agricultural Experiment Station, University of California.
I belong to a generation before you, and at my time of life have to limit my correspondence
more than in former years, so as to save some little strength yet, while by divine
grace I still am among the living, to carry on some progressive researches of my own.
From the "select plants" (G. Davis Detroit edition)
you will know, how important Panicum spectabile is for pastures of warm climes. The
seeds herewith sent, should be forced under glass into germination.

With regardful remembrance
your
Ferd von Mueller.
