I have the honor to send some seeds of Eucalypts, additional to those, which the Victorian Government forwarded for sanitary and forestral cultivation to the Governor of Gambia on his Excellency's special request. May I solicit, that this sending with the accompanying letter

On 25 June the Under Secretary, T. Wilson, wrote to the Secretary to the Premier, E. Thomas: '… I have now the honor to forward herewith a further parcel of eucalyptus seeds accompanied by a letter from the Government Botanist and to request that they may be transmitted in due course to His Excellency Captain Moloney, Governor of Gambia'. M was informed on 26 June 1886 that the seeds had been transmitted as desired; he returned the file on 29 June 'with best thanks'. Thomas replied to Wilson on 10 July: 'I beg to inform you that the parcel and letter in question have been transmitted accordingly'. M was informed of this action and returned the file on 16 July 'with best thanks'.
