MS annotation by Tepper: 'Roy. Soc. Trans. 1886'. A date has been added in pencil in an unknown hand, '31.5.85'. MS is a set of lists of names in M's hand that have been assembled for publication. Tepper (1887) contains the information: the article is a note published as one of the Miscellanea in the volume covering meetings of the Royal Society of South Australia held from 10 November 1885 to 5 October 1886, but dates of presentation or receipt are not given for items in that section of the volume. The published list was introduced by
These were remitted to Baron Sir Ferd. von Mueller, K.C.M.G., &c, the eminent Government Botanist of Victoria, who most courteously submitted them to European specialists of note for identification, and sent me the list of names, being addenda to previous contributions.
The specimen numbers are omitted from the printed list, where instead a note of the year of collection, ranging from 1880 to 1884, is given for all but the second set of lichens.
A translation has been added, where required, in square brackets below the relevant line. The date used here is that noted by M on what was probably the last item included in the compilation, the list of fungi.
