Mordecai Cooke to Ferdinand von Mueller, 1886-04 [86.04.00h]. R.W. Home, Thomas A. Darragh, A.M. Lucas, Sara Maroske, D.M. Sinkora, J.H. Voigt and Monika Wells (eds), Correspondence of Ferdinand von Mueller, <https://vmcp.rbg.vic.gov.au/id//letters/1880-9/1886/86-04-00h-final.odt>, accessed June 4, 2026

The list is one of a number sent by Cooke that are now in the library of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. This list comprises four pages. The bottom of the first page is annotated in pencil by J. H. Willis: post 6 June 1885; the bottom of each page is numbered in pencil in large numerals in what may be another hand. There is a mostly illegible pencilled note at the top left corner, '[... ... ...] QL list'.
The list is dated to April 1886 as the latest that it could have been sent for M to be able to report Cooke's identifications of items 896, 891, 895 and 893 in M to O. Tepper, 31 May 1886 (in this edition as 86-05-31b). Species new to Victoria were listed in B86.10.05.
See notes to M. Cooke to M, 17 January 1885 for a discussion of Cooke's author attributions.
FNI and Index fungorum were accessed on 11 May 2021.
