Baron Von Mueller
Dear Sir—
By this mail I send a specimen of a most peculiar tree, found growing on a mountain
ridge here. The stem & large branches have the bark of a "bloodwood tree" The smaller
branches & leaves resemble those of a gum tree
I enclose bark off trunk (rough & brown), bark off top branches, smooth & white, leaves
& one seed, & a twig — Height of tree sixty feet.
Yours sincerely
E. Bauer.
