Hierbei sende ich Ihnen, edler Freund, einen kleinen Saurier, aus Central Australien. Das Thierchen ist von ausserordentlicher Agilität, lebt mehr auf Sträuchern als auf ebener Erde, u. läuft auf den Hinterbeinen ebenso schnell als auf allen Vieren. Es hascht behende allerlei fliegende Insekten, u. ist daher ein sehr nützliches Thier.

Enclosed I am sending you, noble Friend, a small reptile from Central Australia. The little creature is of extraordinary agility, lives more on bushes than on the flat earth, and runs on the hind legs just as quickly as on all four. It nimbly snaps up all kinds of flying insects and is therefore a very useful animal.
