Error for Griffithsia? There is no entry for in Sonder's list of Australian algae in B80.11.01. There is, however, an entry (p. 11) for Griffiithsia licmophora, attributed to J. Agardh. In Wilson (1892), p. 186, Wilson synonymises Harvey's with Griffithsia licomorpha, citing Harvey (1858-63), vol. 2, plate 90.
licmophora is given as by J. Agardh. From my correspondence with Prof. Agardh, it would appear to be more correctly Harvey. Agardh was not acquainted with the true C. licmophora until my last specimens reached him.
Believe me
Yours very faithfully
J Bracebridge Wilson.
