Holtze's specimen survives as MEL 25768, filed under Goodenia leiosperma with one of M's herbarium labels inscribed in his hand, 'Goodenia Holtzeana | Port Darwin | Maur. Holtze | 515 / 1885', with a pencilled further note by M, 'Habit of Calogyne'. No record of M's publishing this name has been found. The name is now however used as the synonym for a species based on a Holtze specimen (MEL 68193) collected in 1884 (no. 431), named on M's accompanying herbarium label as Calogyne Holtzeana and formally described under that name by Specht in 1958.

Always your
Ferd. von Mueller.
No. 521 RBr. I have never seen fruiting specimens.
