The text given here is from an advertisement for the Picturesque atlas of Australasia (Garran, 1886) in Australasian (Melbourne), 25 September 1886, p. 620, one of a series of similar statements. The advertisement was repeated in other newspapers. M contributed an essay on 'Flora of Australasia' (B86.13.12). M's letter is introduced by 'From Baron Von Mueller, the Eminent Australian Botanist.'
